The Story of Life
Everyone has a story. It is the story of their life, their journey, and their unique perspective on the world. We use stories to navigate our lives, to understand the past, make sense of the present, and guide our decisions for the future.
The stories we create help us make sense of our scattered memories, take us on a journey and make sense of our emotions, struggles, and triumphs. We join the dots to create a straight-line path to our place in the world, our current identity, and what we might be in the future.
The Story Journey
Stories have the power to transport us to different worlds, to take us on a journey with the characters, and to experience their emotions, struggles, and triumphs. But, at the same time, our stories can also be misleading, trapping, and tricking us. They make us think that our story is the only story that could be, that our struggles are inevitable and that we could never be something different. They blind us to the true nature of the world, to the potential of what could have been, and to the suffering of others. We see their plight as inevitable and ours as separate.
Repeating Stories.
Just like in the movie The Blair Witch Project, where the characters become trapped in a never-ending loop of familiar surroundings, our own stories can trap us in a similar way. We become so focused on our own perspective that we lose sight of the potential stories and paths that exist around us.
What if?
But what if we could construct new stories to change the world and the reality for others? This is where social impact comes in. It allows us to construct and bring to life new realities for us and our communities. The world is no longer a straight-line path, where our story stops us overcoming problems. But a world full of potential, that opens the door to many new stories and exciting futures that we create together with others.
Explore New Paths
We can use community projects as a way to explore new paths and find what fits us best, what makes us most equipped to navigate our environment. These are the stories of social change. Instead of allowing our stories to trap us down dark paths, isolated from each other and reality, we can use them as a tool to help connect us and our community and be prepared for whatever new stories the future holds. And, when a new challenge comes, we can use the power of social change to forge new paths to create a new story.

Notes:
I wrote this a long while back (before all this ai fluff) then got busy with something else and it was sitting saved away waiting to be rediscovered.
Don’t let your stories of change do that, start bringing them to life today.
Best wishes
